The Head of HR is responsible for partnering the senior operational managers across mainland Europe to deliver the business strategy and objectives, by working in partnership with business areas in providing an outstanding HR service that is simple, relevant, flexible, customer focused, and drives improved organisational performance. This role also has management responsibility for a team of 2 HR Business Partners.
The geographical scope of this role includes direct responsibility for The Netherlands, France, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway and the Shared Service Centre in Budapest.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a fast paced, agile business environment, be comfortable influencing at a senior level to support the business in achieving its business goals, and advising on areas such as reward, talent management, talent acquisition, bonus plans, performance management, engagement and retention. They will also demonstrate an ability to lead a team, inspire and develop others, setting high standards, supporting and giving regular feedback in order to deliver results.

Driving a high performance and growth and output culture
To have a sustainable high performance culture is a business priority across Randstad Sourceright. As the Head of HR you will need to really understand our business, and be able to positively influence how the operational managers and employees are able to achieve the business strategy & goals, by focusing on outputs, great conversations and cultural change, whilst being aware of the challenges that may be faced.
The Head of HR will support the creation of an annual HR strategy for their business area which is aligned to the overall EMEA and global HR priorities, and will also add value and help to achieve our strategic priorities. Through effectively tracking and analysing management information you will be able to spot trends, and propose effective and timely interventions.
Talent Acquisition & Management
By working in partnership with the operational managers you will be responsible for identifying the talent pool, and then creating tangible action plans to ensure their potential is realised.
You will also work closely with the local and Regional Managers to ensure that high quality talent is hired, onboarded effectively and then nurtured through their career. By working closely with the line managers you will also act as a coach to them to help develop their leadership potential.
The Head of HR will also work closely with the Learning & Development team to ensure that all employees have an effective Personal Development Plan, and attend relevant training sessions to aid their personal and professional development.
Effective Business Partner
The successful role holder will work closely with various stakeholders including the Shared Service Centres, local country HR teams, functional teams, line managers and Operations Directors. The role holder will not only ensure that the standard processes are implemented effectively, but will also provide advice and guidance on complex people / HR issues and broader business issues across mainland Europe.
The Head of HR is there to act as a sounding board to the line managers, and to challenge the norm. The role also involves helping to devise and implement cultural and organisational change plans.

The successful candidate will be able to lead and/or participate in HR or cross functional projects, and be comfortable in contributing to the direction and management of the broader HR department.
The Head of HR will be responsible

- To drive excellence and to increase the perceived value of HR to all stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a large company, ideally in a fast paced multi-site environment, in an operational HR role working with a mix of short term and longer term objectives.
He or she has a proven track record of hands on execution, from concept to delivery, and is known for an excellent ability to balance between guarding the organisation and supporting execution and delivery.
Experience of working with works councils is essential, whilst working in a multi country role is desirable but not essential.
Fluent Dutch and English are essential for this role
