Our client in this case is a global leader in the fashion industry that owns a host of well known, luxury brands, headquartered in The Netherlands. You will work mostly on-site in a team and you will be a critical part of the solution; managing, enhancing, and challenging the way we deliver the Services Procurement programme in a way that fosters a culture and reputation of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

As the SOW Services Procurement Category Lead you will work with an extended internal team to assist our client’s project buyers with the procuring, managing, and remittance processing of service contracts under Statement of Work (SOW) agreements. Categories that may be included in the SOW agreement could be IT project, Managed Services, Professional services and Consultancy. You will be the lead procurement contact for driving the change programme for SOW inclusion under the RSR service, often working with senior client stakeholders to do so. If required, you will partner with project buyers to facilitate Request for Proposals (RFPs), SOW negotiation events, and provide project oversight with regard to supplier invoice administration and settlement. You will be passionate about relationship management and work with client facing teams to optimise the delivery of the programme.

 

 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops partnering relationships with client’s project buyer community to ensure world class customer experience
  • Learns historical buying patterns, and anticipates future needs of the departments supported by the Managed Service programme (MSP) team
  • Manages all procurement requisition activity through use of the Vendor Management System (VMS), Fieldglass
  • Oversees use of VMS technology by client project buyers, stakeholders, and service suppliers to ensure transaction activity is recorded within the VMS with support of the SOW Admin Team
  • Evaluates SOW agreement terms for conformity and compliance against client required contractual language and agreement structure; escalates deviations for client approvals/decision making
  • Provides programme Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training and updates to supplier and client project buyer community to ensure understanding and compliance of VMS technology use and overall programme policies
  • Communicates programme procedural changes and updates to engaged suppliers and client-users in a timely manner
  • Confirms suppliers appropriately manage their employee on-boarding, employee relations issues, and off-boarding activities
  • Provides and analyzes standard programme reporting to client buyers and stakeholders, to include the support of ad hoc report requests as required
  • Establishes and maintains a proactive, positive working relationship with client end-users through regular phone and in-person contact (site visits as required, Covid allowing) within assigned market area / service category
  • Works with the Client Services Director for Randstad Sourceright, in ensuring financial goals and objectives are met or exceeded as well as full compliance on all Randstad policies and procedures
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned



EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with 6+ years of procurement experience and a proven track record measured by customer service levels and satisfaction, increased responsibilities, and working relationships with colleagues and management
  • A deep knowledge of Services procurement and/or delivery within a competitive supply chain landscape
  • Previous experience serving in a Category Lead function procuring IT, Consultancy, Managed Services, professional services contracts (or other related fields) within the appropriate commodity is preferred

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing in English, preferably in Dutch as well, both in one-on-one and in group presentation settings with various levels of professionals both internal and external
  • Experience in managing a complex categories, and driving change within the stakeholder (preferably IT, Consultancy or Managed Services)
  • Work with a global group of colleagues to support and coach them in delivering local SOW support within your commodity 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to professionally and effectively represent the organization as required
  • Ability to perform accurately in a detailed environment while being able to effectively prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to self-manage workload, set target dates, meet deadlines, follow processes, and develop and implement project road maps to achieve optimum results
  • Ability to demonstrate high-level customer service to internal and external clients
  • Ability to effectively influence others at various levels within the organization and who represents clients
  • Ability to negotiate pricing and delivery terms with service supplier firms
  • Knowledge of and the ability to utilize best practices in purchasing, procurement and client negotiation
  • Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize accounts payable, purchase order, and Vendor Management Systems and tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and/or Google Suite products
