Enterprise Legal takes care of the international legal aspects of operations for the global brands of Randstad, i.e. Randstad Enterprise Group, Randstad Sourceright and Randstad RiseSmart International. Having been united under one global department in 2019, Enterprise Legal is the trusted partner of Randstad’s global businesses and advises in all legal matters from client contracts and vendor contracts to compliance and litigation with a well established team of lawyers to support the client contract process on global accounts.

The role

As an International Legal Counsel, the main area of work is on client contracts and in particular the more complex MSP and RPO work for Randstad Sourceright.

 

Within the Randstad organisation, we are uniquely positioned to have a group wide view on contract matters of Randstad’s global clients. In this role you will report to Global General Counsel Randstad Enterprise & Randstad Sourceright

 

Our mandate aims at negotiating client contracts which:

  1. Need a forum for strategic client discussions
  2. Have a geographic reach beyond one country; often they cover a wide range of different jurisdictions
  3. Often address a number of our HR talent solutions, so are highly complex
  4. Need close teaming up with sales, implementation, and other departments to translate the desired business conditions intot the best possible legal term.

 

You will be responsible for ensuring the business has accurate timely legal advice in compliance with local and global Randstad policies & applicable legislation. Big part of the job will be to draft and negotiate global client framework agreements which accurately reflect the Randstad services and talent solutions in question, and offer a well balanced risk and compliance assessment. You will be required to work closely with the relevant adjacent departments, as well as local legal colleagues around the world for roll out and implementation in the country.

 

The role holder will have a passion for ensuring the performance of the overall sales organisation and profitable achievement of the organisation’s sales goals. The role will work collaboratively with the sales team on drafting tailored legal language, based on achievable negotiation strategies, and considering compelling client value propositions to underpin the negotiation strategies and differentiate solutions.

The successful individual will demonstrate the ability to handle complex client contracts for Randstad Sourceright with little supervision, in particular be sufficiently confident with numbers to check fees schedules, provide guidance on SLAs and propose solutions to areas of conflict with a client during negotiations.

 

Demonstrate confidentiality, discretion & judgement, enthusiasm and self-motivation. Excellent communication skills both oral and written, at appropriate levels, in providing advice to clients, managers and staff.

education and experience

  • Law degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years qualified lawyer
  • Trained in recognized law firm or similar experience
  • Expertise in employment and contract laws and outsourcing
  • Experience of working an in-house role in an international business - ideally in the HR industry - and of negotiating global (multi-country) client contracts - ideally through evidencing successful large and complex client contract achievements
  • Experience of working with multi-layered (matrix) sales/implementations/operations teams on bid process
  • Strong English language skills, including legal drafting
  • Ability to navigate in a complex, rapidly changing, global business environment.
