As a Financial Accountant at Randstad Sourceright, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Accounting and Reporting in managing the financial and accounting activities necessary for reporting our Randstad Sourceright EMEA financials accurately and promptly. You will ensure adherence to best practices and consistency across all aspects of our business operations.

What will you do? 

• Assist in the monthly close process by reviewing monthly results across EMEA countries and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to meet deadlines for submission to the Group.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition by reconciling GP on a monthly basis and explaining any variances between expected and actual results.
• Calculate monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring proper recognition of liabilities and assets.
• Consolidate and generate reports for the Finance Director and Head of Accounting and Reporting as required.
• Prepare and review Profit and Loss Accounts, providing commentary for Operations.
• Act as a liaison between finance and implementations to ensure correct accounting setup for new and existing accounts.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations with stakeholders, addressing any risks or opportunities identified.
• Contribute to the Key Control Framework, taking ownership of relevant areas.
• Provide cover for the Head of Accounting and Reporting and other team members as needed.
• Address queries from operational and functional teams.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of business performance.
• Assist in aligning, improving, executing, and promoting financial systems and processes in line with internal and external standards and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills when engaging with stakeholders across the business.
• Support with data uploading and reconciliation in our local finance system.
• Fulfill adhoc requests from the Finance Director or Head of Accounting and Reporting.
• Provide support and assistance to other members of the business, including operational staff and Shared Service Centre colleagues.

What you will bring;  

Qualified Accountant or working towards completion of a relevant qualification (e.g., Registered Accountants, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) or qualified by experience.
Dutch language skills would be desirable but not essential.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
Strong communication skills.
